7/16/11 Resilient people accept responsibility for their lives and their choices. They understand what’s gone wrong so they can fix it. Resilient people are better able to cope with life on life’s terms, because they learn to deal with present stressors as well as future adversity. They are not helpless, but refocus their attention on what is ahead without feeling overwhelmed or giving the past power over the future.
