6/06/12 Resentments are culprits that cause you to remain in the cycles of negativity and victimhood. They lodge inside and cause you to lose touch with your authentic worth, joy, and conscious contact with God. Forgive the past and leave it where it belongs-in the past. Don’t react instead of act, fight instead of surrender, or judge instead of love. Pray for a deeper perspective.

My Aunt June turned 89 years young today. Although my children look back at D-Day as ancient Amercian History, it was her 21st birthday. I don't recall her ever having a cross word to say about those around her, both friends and family. Neither of her boys had "grandchildren," and only one got married (in his 50's). Yet I never heard her express regrets with that. Her sister in law was a mean spirited person to her, but again I never saw her respond with anger back. I believe it's her "throwing away the grudges" that has allowed her to live so long. Her serenity and forgiveness of others have blessed her with a long a peaceful life. The Lord is generous...
