9/30/13 God loves to surround us with beautiful things from daylight to dark. Nature is God’s amazingly beautiful love letter to us. Watch the squirrels work tirelessly gathering nuts in preparation for the cold days of winter. They teach us to plan ahead and not be slothful. We must each do our part just as nature renews itself season after season. Have faith!
9/29/13 The sweetest victories come from overcoming difficult circumstances. Beauty is revealed through enduring trials wisely. It is the internal treasures of patience and persistence that form our greatest character. Weed out the root of bitterness and resentment in order to grow spiritually. Don’t let hatred grow so deep that you are unable to trust again. Cast all your cares upon God and live in freedom. God’s love never fails. Pray and be restored.
9/28/13 Life is like a train of constantly changing emotions. We pass through one feeling to encounter another like a string of beads. If we focus on the negative, that is all we will experience. By looking at life with optimism, we change our world to reflect back to us what we need. All we need is love; love is all we need.
9/27/13 Nothing in God’s world is ever wasted. He would not give you talents and gifts and life experiences unless He intended for you to use them for His glory and purpose. When you identify and understand these abilities, you can discover God’s will for your life. Let love and creativity be your guide.
9/26/13 Accept your situation if you want to be empowered to change it. Once you accept that a difficulty has become part of your life, you can line up forces to alter it. If you deny it is a problem, you cannot change it. No one else knows what your future will be so don’t accept someone else’s prediction. You are distinguished by how you handle a situation or struggle. Be an example!
9/25/13 The practice of forgiveness is our most important contribution to healing ourselves. We will never find peace or recover until we forgive. We take responsibility for our spiritual development when we forgive. The people we stay angry with sleep at night, but we hold the negative energy of unforgiveness internally. We have a choice of being right or of living right.
9/24/13 Be there when others need you in the same way that you would want them to help you in times of need. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. A positive mental attitude and being socially connected reduces stress and the risk of serious illness. You will live longer. Volunteering creates altruism. From the beginning and at the end of life you are dependent on other’s kindness so don’t get to the middle and neglect to extend kindness there.
9/23/13 If our mind can generate health, wealth, and happiness as easily as illness, poverty, and despair then why aren’t we healthy, wealthy, and happy all the time? If a genie gave you the choice between the two extremes, which would you choose? We know the obvious answer, but choose the negative option mentally. Happiness is our birthright!
9/22/13 Anything we abuse or overindulge in contributes to negative thinking. Overindulgence affirms unworthiness. We have authority and dominion over our lives, as well as, the power, the right, and the obligation to do those things that are life-enhancing. Our bodies are a vessel we carry our spirit in. We are stronger than anything that gets in the way of achieving any goal.
9/21/13 Dogs are a link to paradise on earth. They don’t know jealousy, evil, or discontent. To sit with a dog on a glorious afternoon is to be in heaven, living in the moment, where nothing is boring. True peace is a home with the unconditional love of a pet who needs you as much as you need him. Welcome Coco, the little rescue!
