8/31/15 Pay attention to any activities that make you feel alive and in love with life. Spend as much time as possible engaged in these experiences. Spirituality requires energy, and it also creates energy. When life is most difficult, it is important to remember that the life force is keeping us alive. It lifts and energizes us from the pit of despair. We are miracles.
8/30/15 Stay focused on the present. There is always the "next big thing" to be accomplished, but it may be the little things that mean the most. They are happening right now. Tomorrow is not promised so enjoy the small stuff. God will put the extra in our ordinary.
8/29/15 We have the freedom to choose our actions in the miracle of life. No day is the same as the other. Love has the ability to transform us. Take the steps feared and trust God with the results. Courage is not being disappointed with any outcome, because every day has a hidden blessing.
8/28/15 We are one of a kind. It is pointless to go through life living in a battle against ourselves, trying to gain God's approval. We are stamped with approval the day we were born. Knowing we are approved of no matter what is a priceless gift to the discouraged. God does not keep a record of all our mistakes.
8/27/15 God gives us wisdom without finding fault. We need to accept ourselves in the process of change. We are never finished products but clay that is molded through trials and adversity. God is the master sculptor, and we are each a unique masterpiece in progress. Peace is found in a heart turned toward living in gratitude for the blessings already received.
8/26/15 Pain is the pathway to peace and the touchstone to all spiritual progress. Peace is a priceless gift. Peace of mind can stand in the face of any obstacle. Each of us has the ability to weather any storm life may throw out with serenity in our hearts and a smile on our face.
8/25/15 People often chase the danger they are least afraid of to distract them from the part of life that scares them the most. When we are afraid of other people's disapproval or a relentless family pressure to achieve, we are paralyzed and stressed on the inside. An internal fear, at times, can be more destructive than an external one.
8/24/15 Put an end to self-rejection. We can ask ourselves if we would say these self defeating things to a friend. We can be our own worst enemy. We judge ourselves from too many angles. God is the ultimate judge. He loves us unconditionally and provides us with mercy and grace every day. Grow in gratitude for the blessings already received.
8/23/15 God does not look at perfect performance but looks for someone with a sincere heart. God sees the heart while man sees his achievements. We should learn to enjoy life by accepting ourselves right where we are. All our flaws and weaknesses, as well as our strengths, are in God's hands.
8/22/15 Decisions are an act of the will. There is always a choice. If we had an option, we would wish for a big eraser to remove some of the past choices we made. There is no right way to do the wrong thing. When we line up our will with God's will that is the perfect use of our will. Our decisions reveal the desires of our heart.
