8/31/12 As you get older, it is important to maintain a childlike playfulness and let your inner child express itself. Laughter comes naturally to children, and as an adult you should encourage humor daily. It helps to get through the tough times with a positive perspective. Your laugh may bring out the child in another. It is medicine for the soul!
Slow down and enjoy life; don't miss the scenery or the sense of where you are going and why.8/30/2012
8/30/12 In a world moving at hyper-speed, the soulful journey is the one moving toward contemplating the source of things rooted in eternity. Change is constant. Something irrepressible seems to last in the midst of all this change. If we are trying to constantly keep up, we lose the momentum of our soul’s journey. Nourish your soul with the bread of life and Divine mystery.
8/29/12 Thoughts come and go. Watch your thoughts as an observer and notice how anger is made up of multiple states, including fear and dismay. Stop taking the mind so personally and become aware of the process. It is not who you are, but an aspect of what you are. Joy is your birthright, so fill your thoughts with positive things, like the joy of God is your strength and peace!
8/28/12 Loneliness is rarely a matter of not having enough people around. Many are lonely even though their lives are filled with people. Understand that connecting with another can lessen the feelings of being alone. Look around you and see what it is that is requesting your attention. Check out nature or help someone else to nurture your soul.
8/27/12 Plan for the future without sacrificing the present, and enjoy the present without being oblivious to the future. We are responsible for our destiny by the choices we make today. Do not be a passive spectator but an active participant in the joy of existence! Love it all-the victories and the pains.
8/26/12 Not everyone we meet will like us. Acceptance is key, because the best we can do is grow to appreciate the feeling of fully being ourselves. The need to have everyone like us will be replaced by the discovering that we attract like-minded people into our lives who like us because of who we are. Follow your own inner guidance and shine.
8/24/12 Many hurry through life, fueled with drive and ambition. Some gather material rewards, neglecting nourishment and integrity of the soul. Keeping busy every moment cannot cover up the deep need to attain the heart’s true desire. Only God can fill the unrest. We all contain the keys to wholeness and health within ourselves. Prayer is a scientific tool of the wise.
8/23/12 Responding positively to life is nourishing to the soul. We hunger for the ability to sustain passion in our interests and values. The worst spiritual defeat is to lose enthusiasm for life’s possibilities. Appreciate and be grateful for all the blessings that come through pain and difficulties. Energy creates energy so give and receive back more!
8/22/12 Remember the greatest things in life are not things. Meaning is much more important than money. Figure out what you love to do-what God gave you a heart to do-and then do it for His glory! We are designed so there would be no duplication. Make your unique contribution to the world.
8/21/12 When you set aside time for peace and tranquility, all the conflicts you take for granted as a normal part of life will disappear. When you schedule a “resting” time in a disciplined way, wonderful things begin to happen in your life. You will spend less time in energy-draining moods and more time in productive, harmonious days!
