8/31/10 What would the world be like if we simply served each other in small ways. Mother Teresa was famous for saying that we should not ask to do great things for God, but to do small things with great Love. Spread love everywhere you go; through your eyes and your smile J
8/30/10 Life is our canvas. It takes a lifetime to create the work of art for which we were created. The person working with their hands only is a laborer; the one working with their hands and their head is a craftsman; the one working with their hands, their head, and their heart is an artist. Acknowledge in your soul that you are an artist of the everyday. Give thanks to the Great Creator for your own blessed gifts!
8/29/10 There are no shortcuts to maturity. It takes years to grow to adulthood, and it takes a season for fruit to ripen. The same is true for the fruit of the Spirit. The development of spiritual character cannot be rushed; like physical growth, it takes time. To cooperate in this process, believe God is present in your life, even if you don’t feel it. You may not be where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be J Be grateful.
8/28/10 Everything placed in our path can help us if we let it. Many secrets are just waiting to be revealed to patient seekers of Truth. If you have lived your life hearing another voice in your heart, maybe you should listen closely to the quiet whispers within your own soul. Keep seeking, and you shall find that right path that leads to your authentic truth. Live freely!
Never sell yourself "short" before trying to accomplish that which you think is impossible.8/27/2010
8/27/10 We spend a lot of our lives looking for role models and teachers to guide us on our path. However, some do not realize that we carry within us everything we need to progress to self-realization. The outer world is only a mirror. Joy is a permanent aspect of our inner world and is a magnetic force that draws us to what we need to evolve. Turn inward for guidance by simply asking, letting go, and waiting. The answers always come if we are patient.
8/26/10 When you are creating something, and you find yourself stuck, let go and turn it over to the Deeper Wisdom within dwelling beyond our reasoning. Ask your subconscious to take over at night, and in the morning, awaken to the answer. See your heart’s desire. Offer grateful thanks in advance. Watch the miracles occur through Infinite Intelligence!!!!
Music is the universal language of the soul; harmony and balance are what life sounds like.8/25/2010
8/25/10 Music is a powerful form of prayer, meditation, and healing. Music therapy is an ancient tradition, and spiritual healers have used drums, bells, and rattles to drive disease from the body, depression from the mind, and despair from the soul. Alzheimer patients often responded to music when all else failed. Channel your creative energy, and call forth your gifts. Music expresses that which cannot be said. Music doesn’t lie!
The gifts of change are pre-sent. Stay in the moment, and you will receive "presents" every day!8/24/2010
8/24/10 Change comes bearing gifts. Change is not easy, but it is simple. Things will always change, and we don’t have a choice. We do have a choice about the way we react to change. Either we manage change, or it will manage us. The measure of one’s age actually determines how well he retains the romance of youth. Change and age gracefully, because the destiny of tomorrow depends on the mental conduct of today.
8/23/10 We all try to cover up our guilty feelings in different ways. The façade of smiles or … suppressing, denying, ignoring, and pretending it doesn’t exist. It is like a room with asbestos insulation; you don’t notice the symptoms right away, but over time, the poison makes you sick. The guilt is still there seeping through the walls in anxiety, depression, and anger. Transformation begins with new eyes, seeking change. Dwell on God’s love and grace in order to break the chains of guilt and live in His new light, reflecting that love to othersJ
8/22/10 Why is old age so unexpected when it happens? Do you feel your age? They say that middle age is when a narrow waist and a broad mind switch places. It is mandatory that we “grow” old, but “growing up” is optional. Phyllis Diller said she never saw old age coming~”It hit me from the rear”. Laugh lines are facial assets!

Author - Linda BeckwithI believe everyday is a gift from our Creator. As we age, some may fear the unknown~death. People who become aware of their mortality find they have actually gained freedom to live. They have found they have an appreciation for the present. We are all here to contribute love, forgiveness, and service. As I age, I want to nourish my soul's purpose. If we are open to grace, people will appear in our lives to encourage growth of our souls. Allow me to provide daily nourishment through loving words, because joy is our birthright. I call these my daily "Truth Vitamins" for spiritual health. Join me in discovering together our inner soul purpose with "Love~that's all there is". Archives
